Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Dish From Fridge (dishfromfridge.com) collects and how it is used.

What we collect

• Ingredients you enter. We store the ingredient text you submit together with the recipe we generate, so the same ingredients return the same recipe next time. Please don't enter personal information in the ingredient box.
• A one-way hash of your IP address. To prevent abuse, we limit how many new recipes can be generated per hour. We store a keyed hash of your IP address, never the address itself, along with a counter and a time window.
• Standard server logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel) processes request data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited to deliver and secure the site.

What we don't do

• We don't require accounts and don't ask for your name or email to use the site.
• We don't sell personal information.
• We don't currently use advertising or analytics cookies. If that changes, we'll update this policy first.

Service providers

We use Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database) and DeepSeek (AI recipe generation). The ingredient text you submit is sent to DeepSeek to generate a recipe. Recipe photos are served from Unsplash.
